Smelling coffee can bust stress. When rats smelled coffee beans, genes connected with healthful antioxidants and stress-reduction were activated, according to researchers from Seoul National University in South Korea. No, you’re not a rat—even if you’re in the rat race—but the stress-busting benefits may be one reason your morning latte smells so delicious.
4. Coffee might help fight obesity. A compound found in coffee,chlorogenic acid (CGA), could help ward off obesity-related diseases, according to researchers at the University of Georgia. In a study of mice, CGA prevented weight gain, reduced inflammation, helped maintain normal blood-sugar levels, and kept livers healthy. Gradually increasing your coffee consumption can also lead to a lower risk of Type 2 diabetes, according to previous research.

4 cups of germinated grain (wheat)
15 fresh lemons
12 heads of fresh garlic
4 cups of fresh walnuts

Preparation of the germinated wheat:
In a boiled glass jar put 4 cups of wheat, pour the water in and let it sit overnight. After 10 – 12 hours in the morning, strain the water through a gauze/clean cloth, strain the grains through the gauze well and wash them.

Leave the strained wheat in the jar. After 24 hours you will have germinated wheat (1 – 2 mm long).

Grind together the cleaned garlic cloves, the walnuts and the germinated wheat. In an enamel pot, grind 5 lemons with the peel and mix everything together. In the mixture add the juice from the rest of the lemons mix until it becomes homogenous. While stirring with a wooden spoon add the honey, and then pour it into jars which you should keep in the refrigerator. The mixture will be ready for consumption after 3 days.

Dose:

Consume 1 – 2 tablespoons of this mixture half an hour before breakfast, lunch, dinner and before going to bed. Consume it until you finish the whole dose. For prevention use it once a year.

  3. Pour in some apple cider vinegar and fill it to the top. It is best if 2/3 of the jar consist of dry ingredients, and fill in the rest with vinegar.
  4. Close well and shake.
  5. Keep the jar in a cool and dry place for 2 weeks. Shake well several times a day.
  6. After 14 days, squeeze well and strain the liquid through a plastic strain. For better results put a gauze over it. Squeeze well so the whole juice comes out.
  7. Use the rest of the dry mixture when cooking.
Your master tonic is ready for use. You do not need to keep the tonic in your fridge. It will last for long time.
Dosing:
  1. Caution: The flavor is very strong and hot!
  2. Extra Tip: Eat a slice of orange, lemon or lime after you take the tonic to ease the burning sensation and heat.
  3. Gargle and swallow.

Mulberry Leave or Sang Ye



Sharing again a medicinal leave which I consumed recently "Sang Ye " or "桑叶" in Chinese. This leave has another name called "Mulberry Leave aka Folium Mori".  Yes, you are right, the leave that silkworms feed on. What good is this leave?

I stumbled on this plant because I got lazy eyes or Chinese calls it "眼针". The eyes are hot and one side of my eye had a slight swell which is painful and very uncomfortable. My brother bought these leaves and put it in a slow cooker with water and let it boiled. He gave me the drink and after drinking a few cups, my eye swelling when down. This fresh brewed has no taste, just like tea however the smell to me is not so pleasant.

He also took some of the leaves from the boiled drink and pounded them and than applied on both my eyes. The boil on my eye broke and pus started oozing. The swell subsided. I decided to google and read about this leave and realized that it not only heals the eyes and at the same time there are many goodness about the plant. Sharing with you some of the medicianl  benefits and you can read further from the internet.
