The main causes of liver damage are:
1.
Sleeping too late and waking up too late are the main cause.
2. Not urinating in the morning.
3. Too much eating.
4. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8. Consuming overly done foods also add to the burden of liver. Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.


We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our body to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to 'schedule.'


Because: Evening at 9 - 11pm : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/ toxic chemicals (de-toxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on her health.


Evening at 11pm - 1am : The de-toxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state. Early morning 1 - 3am : de-toxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 3 - 5am : de-toxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the de-toxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.
Morning 5 - 7am : de-toxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.


Morning 7 - 9am : Absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 -10am rather than no meal at all. Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood.

Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

Palm oil kills breast cancer cells

SINGAPORE, Dec 1 – Scientists in Singapore have discovered a natural compound in palm oil that can kill breast cancer cells.
The compound, called gamma-tocotrienol, which was extracted in its natural form from palm oil, demonstrated powerful cancer-killing properties, according to findings by Davos Life Science Singapore, a research and development centre.
In a statement today, the centre said the compound could be found at low levels in food sources such as palm oil, barley and rice bran.
The centre said its scientists partnered with the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong and the Australian Prostate Cancer Research Centre in conducting the cancer study.
The study showed during in-vitro experiments, the natural compound demonstrated greater potency than ‘Docetaxel’, a commonly-used chemotherapy drug used to treat breast cancer.
This was the first tocotrienol study to identify the key upstream regulators that mediated breast cancer progression and invasion, the centre said.
The compound was also found to suppress the invasive ability of breast cancer cells to spread to other organs via metastasis.
While the doses of gamma-tocotrienol showed positive anti-cancer effects, they did not affect the normal cell functions of healthy cells, the study found.
Davos Life Science was set up in 2004, as a manufacturer that isolates and purifies natural tocotrienol, for use in supplements, functional food, personal care and pharmaceutical formulations. It has established the world’s largest R&D centre dedicated to tocotrienol and the world’s largest manufacturing facility for the production of natural tocotrienol. – Bernama

Indian spices for all diseases


COLDS

Mix a gram of dalchini/cinnamon powder with a teaspoon of honey to

cure cold. Prepare a cup of tea to which you should add ginger, clove, bay
leaf and black pepper... This should be consumed twice a day. Reduce the
intake as the cold disappears.


GINGER FOR COLDS.

Ginger tea is very good to cure cold. Preparation of tea: cut ginger
into small pieces and boil it with water, boil it a few times and then
add sugar to sweeten and milk to taste, and drink it hot.

DRY COUGHS.

Add a gram of turmeric (haldi) powder to a teaspoon of honey for
curing dry cough. Also chew a cardamom for a long time.

BLOCKED NOSE.

For blocked nose or to relieve congestion, take a table spoon of

crushed carom seeds (ajwain) and tie it in a cloth and inhale it.

SORE THROAT.

Add a tea spoon of cumin seeds (jeera) and a few small pieces of dry
ginger to a glass of boiling water. Simmer it for a few minutes, and

then let it cool. Drink it twice daily. This will cure cold as well as
sore throat.


AJWAIN/AJMO FOR ASTHMA.

Boil ajwain in water and inhale the steam.
CURE FOR BACKACHE.
Rub ginger paste on the backache to get relief.
GARLIC FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE.
Have 1-2 pod garlic (lasan) first thing in the morning with water

HONEY AND GINGER FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE.

Mix 1 table spoon and 1 table spoon ginger (adrak) juice, 1 table
spoon of crushed cumin seeds (jeera), and have it twice daily.


MIGRAINE.

For the cure of migraine or acute cold in the head; boil a tablespoon
of pepper powder, and a pinch of turmeric in a cup of milk, and have it
daily for a few couple of days.

BITTER GOURD/KARELA IS GOOD.


A tablespoon of amla juice mixed with a cup of fresh bitter gourd
(karela) juice and taken daily for 2 months reduces blood sugar.

TURMERIC/ ARAD CURE FOR INJURIES

For any cut or wound, apply turmeric powder to the injured portion to
stop the bleeding. It also works as an antiseptic. You can tie a
bandage after applying haldi/turmeric.
CRAMPS

You must do a self-massage using mustard oil every morning. Just take
a little oil between your palms and rub it all over your body. Then take
a shower. This is especially beneficial during winter. You could also
mix a little mustard powder with water to make a paste and apply this on
your palms and soles of your feet.

HEADACHES.

If you have a regular migraine problem, include five almonds along
with hot milk in your daily diet. You could also have a gram of black
pepper along with honey or milk, twice or thrice a day. Make an almond paste
by rubbing wet almonds against a stone. This can be applied to forehead.

Eat an apple with a little salt on an empty stomach everyday and see
its wonderful effects. OR When headache is caused by cold winds, cinnamon
works best in curing headache. Make a paste of cinnamon by mixing in
water and apply it all over your forehead

In 1 glass of water, add 2 tbsps of coriander/dhania seeds and bring
to a boil. Let the decoction cool for some time and then strain. Drink
this mixture two times in a day. OR Sunflower seeds are extremely
beneficial, as they contain linoleic acid that helps in reducing the cholesterol
deposits on the walls of arteries..

PILES

Radish juice should be taken twice a day, once in the morning and
then later in the night. Initially drink
about a cup of radish juice and
then gradually increase it to 2 cups. OR Soak 3-4 figs in a
glass of water.
Keep it overnight. Consume the figs on an empty stomach, the next day
in the morning

VOMITING

Take 2 cardamoms/elachi and roast them on a dry pan (tava). Powder the
cardamoms and thereafter add a tsp of honey in it. Consume it
frequently. It serves as a fabulous home remedy for
vomiting. OR In
the mixture of 1 tsp of mint juice and 1 tsp limejuice, add 1 tsp
of
ginger juice and 1 tsp honey. Drink this mixture to prevent vomiting. OR
Lime
juice is an effective remedy for vomiting. Take a glass of chilled
lime
juice and sip slowly. To prevent vomiting, drink ginger tea. OR In
1 glass water, add some honey and drink sip by sip.

WARTS

Apply castor oil daily over the problematic area. Continue for
several months. OR Apply milky juice of fresh and barely-ripe figs a number of
times a day. Continue for two weeks. OR Rub cut raw potatoes on the
affected area several times daily. Continue for at least two weeks. OR
Rub cut onions on the warts to stimulate the circulation of blood. OR
Apply milk from the cut end of dandelion over the warts 2-3 times a
day. OR Apply oil extracted from the shell of the cashew nut over the
warts. OR Apply Papaya juice OR Apply Pineapple juice.

URINARY TRACT INFECTION

In 8 oz of water, put
1 tsp of baking soda and drink it. OR Drink
plenty of water, as it aids in flushing out the waste products from the body.
OR Drink Cranberry juice. You can also add some apple juice for taste.

SINUSITIS

Mango serves as an effective home remedy for preventing the frequent
attacks of sinus, as it is packed with loads of vitamin A. OR Another
beneficial remedy consists of consuming pungent foods like onion and
garlic, as a part of your daily meals. OR Fenugreek/methi leaves are
considered valuable in curing sinusitis. In 250 ml water, boil 1 tsp
of Fenugreek seeds and reduce it to half. This will help you to perspire,
dispel toxicity and reduce the fever period. OR Tie a tsp of black
cumin seeds in a thin cotton cloth and inhale.

TONSILLITIS

Take a fresh lemon and squeeze it in a glass of water. Add 4 tsp of
honey and
½ tsp of salt in it. Drink it slowly sip by sip. OR Milk has
proved beneficial in treating tonsillitis. In 1 glass of pure boiled
milk, add a pinch of turmeric powder and pepper powder. Drink it every
night for about 3 days.

Scientific Basis of Qigong


There are internal and external causes of disease. Examples of external causes are infection through bacteria and social pressures, while internal causes are either physiological or psychological. For example, eating or drinking too much may cause bacteria to come in through the mouth and can cause intestines and stomach problems (external), but nervousness and fear can cause intestines and stomach problems too (internal).
There are many ways of treating a disease. The common way is taking medicine or having surgery. However, most of the drugs have side effects, and surgery will inevitably result in pain and damage.
As a matter of fact, any effective treatment can do no more than providing favorable conditions for healing. The cure of a disease eventually depends on the self-healing ability of the human body itself, through the prevention, restoration, changing rate of the metabolism and adaptation of the body. For example, treating pneumonia with penicillin is generally effective, but the pathological changes still exist if there are no phagocyte, absorption and restoration of pathological tissue -- although the pathogenic bacteria have all been killed.
Fifty to 80 percent of all diseases are caused by nervousness. Such diseases are called Social Diseases, or diseases of metropolitan civilization. Even advanced modern medicine finds it tough to treat such diseases.
Qigong is a form of exercise which "rests in motion" and "moves in rest". There are three essentials of Qigong : mind-mediating (sitting still), body-regulating (relaxation), and breath-modulating (long breathing). The three essentials can effectively treat the above-mentioned Social Disease or Disease of Metropolitan Civilization.
Mind-Mediating (sitting still): Qigong exercise requires that the exerciser enter a state of tranquillity. When sitting still, one's brain wave is different from when he/she closes his/her eyes to rest or sleep. The brain wave has these special features:
  1. The cycle of d wave extends, the frequency decreases, and the amplitude increases.
  2. The q wave appears and expands.
The electroencephalogram shows that the amplitude of inhibitory d wave rises, and the rhythm and pace slows down. With this inhibition, the cerebral cortex cells which have caused functional disorder due to overexcitement are restored, and most of the central nervous system takes an active rest. With an active rest, the central nervous system enhances the harmonizing function between the sympathetic nerve and parasympathetic nerve, hence serving the purpose of preventing and curing diseases. As well, the tranquillity of the brain and the decreases of energy consumption reduce the consumption of nerve cells. Therefore, when one practices qigong, he/she is increasing his/her energy instead of consuming it. It is the opposite with other exercises.
Body-Regulating (relaxation): The study of modern biochemical science proves that when one is in a state of complete relaxation, the arousal level of the cerebral cortex lowers; the relative function of the sympathetic nervous system lowers; the relative function of the parasympathetic nervous system rises; the breathing cycle extends, and the respiratory centre has an effect on the cardiac vagus. Here are the manifestations: slowing down of the heart rate, reduction of energy consumption, rise of haemoglobin and its function, a significant reduction of cholesterol, and the improvement of coronary circulation and myocardial metabolism. Therefore, it creates conditions for curing various chronic diseases in the heart, intestines and stomach.
Breath-Modulating (Long breathing): qigong exercise requires deep, long, light, slow and even breathing. Normally exhaling takes longer than inhaling. Experiments prove that on exhalation the excitement from the respiratory centre can widely spread to the parasympathetic nervous system; while on inhalation the excitement from the respiratory centre changes and becomes widely spread to the sympathetic nervous system. Most of the internal organs are commonly controlled by a pair of sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, whose functions are contrary to each other, to keep the balance between the organ's excitement and inhibition.
Qigong places special stress on directing breathing with consciousness. Breathing consciously can distinctly effect functions of the internal organs controlled by the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Long exhalation with consciousness can slow down the heartbeat, lower blood pressure, and stimulate secretion of digestive juices, as a result of the effects on the parasympathetic nervous system. Contrarily, long inhalation can make the heart beat faster and the blood pressure rise by effecting the sympathetic nervous system. Generally qigong requires longer time in exhalation than in inhalation, and is capable of curing diseases caused by functional disorders of the autonomic nervous system, such as high blood pressure, gastric ulcer and neurasthenia.
In short, practicing qigong can reduce the energy-consuming rate by 16 percent (it reduces only by 10 percent when one sleeps), raise the metabolic level two to three times higher than normal, while the metabolic level of the adrenal gland is only 60 percent of that of normal. The secretion of cortex hormones and growth hormones decreases, lowering the regenerating rate of protein, and relatively prolongs the life of nerve cells. In other words, it prolongs human life and restores youthful vigor. As for the powerful physiological disease-resistant material resulting from qigong practicing -- interferon -- that is a special function from qigong exercise.

MSG, a slow Poison ?

MSG hides behind 25 or more names, such as Natural Flavouring.' MSG is even in your favourite coffee from Tim Horton's and Starbucks coffee shops! I wondered if there could be an actual chemical causing the massive obesity epidemic, and so did a friend of mine, John Erb. He was a research assistant at the University of Waterloo in Ontario , Canada , and spent years working for the government. He made an amazing discovery while going through scientific journals for a book he was writing called The Slow Poisoning of America.

In hundreds of studies around the world, scientists were creating obese mice and rats to use in diet or diabetes test studies. No strain of rat or mice is naturally obese, so scientists have to create them. They make these creatures morbidly obese by injecting them with MSG when they are first born.

The MSG triples the amount of insulin the pancreas creates, causing rats (and perhaps humans) to become obese. They even have a name for the fat rodents they create: 'MSG-Treated Rats.'

When I heard this, I was shocked. I went into my kitchen and checked the cupboards and the refrigerator. MSG was in everything -- the Campbell 's soups, the Hostess Doritos, the Lays flavoured potato chips, Top Ramen, Betty Crocker Hamburger Helper, Heinz canned gravy, Swanson frozen prepared meals, and Kraft salad dressings, especially the 'healthy low-fat' ones.

The items that didn't have MSG marked on the product label had something called 'Hydrolysed Vegetable Protein,' which is just another name for Monosodium Glutamate.

It was shocking to see just how many of the foods we feed our children everyday are filled with this stuff. MSG is hidden under many different names in order to fool those who read the ingredient list, so that they don't catch on.. (Other names for MSG are 'Accent, 'Natural Meat Tenderizer,' etc.)

But it didn't stop there.

When our family went out to eat, we started asking at the restaurants what menu items contained MSG. Many employees, even the managers, swore they didn't use MSG.

But when we ask for the ingredient list, which they grudgingly provided, sure enough, MSG and Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein were everywhere.

Burger King, McDonald's, Wendy's, Taco Bell, every restaurant -- even the sit-down eateries like TGIF, Chili's, Applebee's, and Denny's -- use MSG in abundance. Kentucky Fried Chicken seemed to be the WORST offender :
MSG was in every chicken dish, salad dressing and gravy. No wonder I loved to eat that coating on the skin -- their secret spice was MSG!

So why is MSG in so many of the foods we eat? Is it a preservative, or a vitamin?

Not according to my friend John Erb. In his book The Slow Poisoning of America, he said that MSG is added to food for the addictive effect it has on the human body.

Even the propaganda website sponsored by the food manufacturers lobby group supporting MSG explains that the reason they add it to food is to make people eat more.

A study of the elderly showed that older people eat more of the foods that it is added to. The Glutamate Association lobbying group says eating more is a benefit to the elderly, but what does it do to the rest of us?

'Betcha can't eat [just] one,' takes on a whole new meaning where MSG is concerned! And we wonder why the nation is overweight!

MSG manufacturers themselves admit that it addicts people to their products. It makes people choose their product over others, and makes people eat more of it than they would if MSG wasn't added.

Not only is MSG scientifically proven to cause obesity, it is an addictive substance.
Since its introduction into the American food supply fifty years ago, MSG has been added in larger and larger doses to the pre-packaged meals, soups, snacks, and fast foods we are tempted to eat everyday.

The FDA has set no limits on how much of it can be added to food. They claim it's safe to eat in any amount. But how can they claim it's safe when there are hundreds of scientific studies with titles like these:

No, the date of that last study was not a typo; it was published in 1978. Both the 'medical research community' and 'food manufacturers' have known about the side effects of MSG for decades.

Many more of the studies mentioned in John Erb's book link MSG to diabetes, migraines and headaches, autism, ADHD, and even Alzheimer's.

So what can we do to stop the food manufactures from dumping this fattening and addictive MSG into our food supply and causing the obesity epidemic we now see?

Several months ago, John Erb took his book and his concerns to one of the highest government health officials in Canada While he was sitting in the government office,
the official told him, 'Sure, I know how bad MSG is. I wouldn't touch the stuff.' But this
top-level government official refuses to tell the public what he knows.

The big media doesn't want to tell the public either, fearing issues with their advertisers. It seems that the fallout on the fast food industry may hurt their profit margin. The food producers and restaurants have been addicting us to their products for years, and now we are paying the price for it. Our children should not be cursed with obesity caused by an addictive food additive.

But what can I do about it? I'm just one voice! What can I do to stop the poisoning of our children, while our governments are insuring financial protection for the industry that is poisoning us?

This message is going out to everyone I know in an attempt to tell you the truth that the corporate-owned politicians and media won't tell you.

The best way you can help to save yourself and your children from this drug-induced epidemic is to forward this article to everyone. With any luck, it will circle the globe before politicians can pass the legislation protecting those who are poisoning us.

The food industry learned a lot from the tobacco industry. Imagine if big tobacco had a bill like this in place before someone blew the whistle on nicotine?

4. You started too late: The magic of compound interest works best over long periods of time. If you find you're always saying there will be time to save and invest in a couple more years, you'll wake up one day to find retirement is just around the corner and there is still nothing in your retirement account.

Got the recipe from a friend who is studying chinese medicine. In case swine flu comes around and you cannot get hold of Tamiflu, no harm trying. Tamiflu may run out very quickly given that the manufacturers need about 3-4 months to produce them.

Star anise is a spice ingredient used in chinese cooking and it is cheap in Malaysia to buy them, so no harm trying out.

Use 9 star anise, 6 cups of water, boil in earthern pot if possible or else avoid steel/metal pot.

Boil for about 30-40 mins until about 4 cups left. Drink twice daily over the flu period. Above volume good for 2 adults per day.

To add flavour, add couple of red dates (remove seed before boiling).

Ripe Bananas and Anti-Cancer Quality



The fully ripe banana produces a substance called TNF (Tumor Necrosis Factor) which has the ability to combat abnormal cells.

As the banana ripens, it develops dark spots or patches on the skin. The more dark patches it has, the higher will be its' immunity enhancement quality.

Hence the Japanese love bananas for a good reason.

According to a Japanese scientific research, banana contains TNF which has anti-cancer properties. The degree of anti-cancer effect corresponds to the degree of ripeness of the fruit, i.e. the riper the banana, the better the anti-cancer quality.

In an animal experiment carried out by a professor in Tokyo U comparing the various health benefits of different fruits, using banana, grape, apple, water melon, pineapple, pear and persimmon, it was found that banana gave the best results.

It increased the number of white blood cells, enhanced the immunity of the body and produced anti-cancer substance TNF.

The recommendation is to eat 1 to 2 bananas a day to increase your body immunity to diseases like cold, flu and others.

According to the Japanese professor, yellow skin bananas with dark spots on it are 8 times more effective in enhancing the property of white blood cells than the green skin version.

How does TNF kill cancer cells?

Tumor necrosis factors (or the TNF-family) refer to a group of cytokines family that can cause cell death.

Mechanism

TNF acts via the TNF Receptor (TNF-R) and is part of the extrinsic pathway for triggering apoptosis. TNF-R is associated with procaspases through adapter proteins (FADD, TRADD, etc.) that can cleave other inactive procaspases and trigger the procaspase cascade, irreversibly committing the cell to apoptosis.

TNF interacts with tumor cells to trigger cytolysis or cell death. TNF interact with receptors on endothelial cells, which leads to increased vascular permeability allowing leukocytes access to the site of infection. This is a type of localized inflammatory response, although systemic release may lead to septic shock and death.

Oil Pulling Therapy

Oil Pulling Therapy: Effective Natural Detoxification, Stimulation of Elimination, Self-Help Cure and Prevention of Many Diseases Incl. Cancer?
The practice of oil pulling apparently is a time-honoured tradition in parts of the world, including in the ancient Indian medical system of Ayurveda. Oil pulling therapy simply consists in thoroughly sloshing certain types of commonly found oil in the mouth for up to 20 minutes (for details see Instructions: how oil pulling is done). This practice is said to draw toxins & destroy natural mouth germs while stimulating the body's eliminatory system and increasing metabolism, thus leading to improved health and the conquering of disease.

In fact, thanks to this double action, oil pulling therapy is claimed (according to Dr. Karach MD) to have healed illnesses and complaints as diverse as bronchitis, tooth pain, diseased teeth, headaches & migraines, eczema, thrombosis, chronic sleeplessness, arthritis & related illnesses, diseases of stomach & intestines (such as ulcers, gastro-enteritis, peritonitis), kidney, liver, lung and heart disease, blood disorders (such as chronic blood diseases like leukemia), women’s diseases & hormonal disorders and diseases affecting the nervous system (such as encephalitis, meningitis, neuro-physiological paralysis). It is also said to prevent the growth of malignant tumors, to cut and heal them, to be a heart attack preventative, to cure diseases brought on by toxic drugs, and it is credited with the cure of diabetes.

Dr. Karach himself claims to have cured his own chronic blood disease of 15 years standing using the oil therapy and that the same method healed an “acute arthrosis” (which had made him bed-ridden) within three days.* Added benefits reported concern the fastening of loose teeth, the healing of bleeding gums and the visible whitening of teeth.

In other words, oil therapy is claimed (according to Dr. Karach MD) to be some kind of panacea of both curative and preventative effect with the added bonus of potentially doubling the presently observed average human lifespan. Additionally, “in terminal diseases such as cancer, Aids and chronic infections, this treatment method has been shown to successfully replace all others. ... a wide variety of symptoms have unquestionably disappeared without any side effects. ... diseases which would normally be treated by an operation or by powerful or potent drugs, usually with significant side effects.”

Interestingly, oil pulling is also part of the daily morning routine prescribed in eminent conventional and alternative cancer treatment researcher Lothar Hirneise’s new cancer treatment center in Germany.

While it is likely that noone so far has done any placebo-controlled double-blind studies on the possible or actual benefits of oil pulling, so any healing reports so far published could be easily dismissed as simple anecdotes based on the powerful placebo effect, the simplicity, apparent harmlessness as well as inexpensiveness of application of this biological healing/detoxification method (see Instructions) and the possible rewards concerning internal detoxification to be reaped make it seem advisable to at least give oil pulling a thorough try. Perhaps, as Dr. Karach claims, oil therapy is indeed able to help heal the human organism in its entirety, to effectively treat all types of diseases and “in some cases enabling one to avoid surgical intervention and the taking of medications that can have harmful side effects”.

*Oilpulling.org writes in another place that “Dr. Karach has successfully healed a chronic leukemia patient with 15 years of harsh treatment methods behind him. Acute arthritis in 1 patient who was totally bedridden was removed from his body in 3 days with no inflammation apparent.”
Which oils to use

Recommended oils to use for oil pulling are sunflower and sesame oil, both of which have been found to be equally effective in healing diseases. Also mentioned are peanut oil and “distal oil”, the latter possibly being a mistranslation from the German Distelöl (safflower oil). Quote: “Other oils were not found to be as good/We have observed that any oil other than SUNFLOWER or SESAME may not be effective. Do not blame oil pulling by practicing with other oils.” Yet apparently, a normal refined sunflower oil as found in supermarkets has proved to be effective in numerous people. But “Our experience with thousands of people across the globe says USE COLD-PRESSED OIL as first choice, if it is not available use REFINED OIL.”

For patients following the Budwig diet & protocol, it is however imperative to exclusively go for organic cold-pressed oils. Even for the general reader, Healing Cancer Naturally recommends to always choose the best possible quality in foodstuffs, both in the interest of one’s own health and the environment.
Instructions: how oil pulling is done

In the morning before breakfast (i.e. on an empty stomach), take one tablespoon into the mouth (don’t swallow it). Move the oil slowly around your mouth, as you would when rinsing your teeth. While keeping your mouth closed, slosh the fluid around your oral cavity, pulling it through your teeth, sucking it etc. Do this for fifteen to twenty minutes. “Chewing” in this manner draws a lot of saliva and gradually dilutes the oil which becomes thoroughly mixed with saliva in the process. Swishing is said to activate the enzymes, with the enzymes drawing toxins out of the blood. As you continue this process, the oil-saliva mix gradually becomes more and more liquid and thin and acquires a whitish look (if the oil remains yellowish, it has not been pulled long enough).
Spitting and cleansing

The watery oil/saliva mix is then spat out. It must not be swallowed, for the liquid has become toxic from poisons being drawn from the circulation through the mucous membranes of the mouth. After spitting the oil, the oral cavity must be thoroughly rinsed and washed with water a number of times. Cleanse your teeth with a toothbrush or use your fingers; also properly clean the sink, because the liquid expelled contains large amounts of bacteria and other harmful/toxic bodily waste (apparently, a microscopic review would reveal microbes in their first stage of development in this liquid). “Pulling Oil pulls out disease elements from the system (body) and restores health.”
When to do oil pulling

Best time to do the oil pulling routine is said to be in the morning before breakfast (where it can easily be integrated into the rest of one’s morning routine).
Recommended frequency of oil pulling

Oilpulling.org states that to enhance the claimed healing process, oil pulling can be repeated three times a day (always before meals on an empty stomach) but it also says that only the patient him or herself can answer this question depending on how s/he feels which tells him/her if s/he needs more or less applications of the oil pulling routine.
How long to do the oil pulling

Oilpulling.org advises to keep up the practice until one has recovered one’s original strength and freshness, enjoys good appetite and memory and regularly wakes up refreshed “without black circles under your eyes” after restful sleep.
When initial worsening of symptoms is observed

Patients suffering from more than one disease can experience a worsening of their situation in the beginning. Dr. Karach - like other naturopaths - believes that an apparent worsening of one’s state of health is a propitious sign (often referred to as healing crisis) indicating that your disease is disappearing. This includes healing fever. He advises not to interrupt the treatment when one’s state gets worse. In fact he believes that by discontinuing the oil pulling, one also interrupts the healing activities stimulated by the oil pulling.
Claimed time requirements to achieve healing/cure

Oilpulling.org claims that oil pulling will speedily cure acute diseases in two to four days, while chronic diseases usually require more time, sometimes even one-year, and advises persistence in application.
Oil pulling caveats & precautions

(a) Don’t swallow the oil after completion of the process but spit it out. Do not worry, however, about any oil accidentally swallowed. It will simply be discarded through the normal elimination channels.

(b) If you are allergic to a particular brand of oil, change the brand or type of oil to a different one.

(c) One author (perhaps more) warns against oil pulling for people who carry amalgam fillings, claiming that even more mercury than “normal” will/could be released by this practice.
